In Chaikovsky, the XII edition of the summer biathlon worlds ended with the pursuits. The most striking moment was the farewell of Svetlana Sleptsova, who after dominating the female test announced she was in a sweet wait.

In the men's race, the gold medal went to the favor of the eve, Alexey Volkov. In a format where the shot is predominant, the Russian has proved to be very reliable on the four polygons (he was wrong once) and has progressively taken over, going to win a very good net hit. This is also the second summer statement of the career pursued in pursuit, already won in 2011 in Ufa.
Silver medal for Anton Shipulin, once again quite inaccurate (1 + 1 + 1 + 1). However, the thirty-year-old Siberian has valued his pace, maximizing his present potential. The bronze was the prize of Bulgarian Krasimir Anev, the author of a quality performance. Probably without the double closing error he would close the plaza, but the substance would not change. Curiously, this is the third irreduced summer career bronze in pursuit, after those already collected in 2011 and 2014. Both are also in editions disputed in Russia (Ufa and Tyumen).
It should be noted the great comeback of Sergei Klyachin, who finished fourth despite the eighteenth starting place. Instead, they struggled with Vladimir Chepelin and Tomas Hasilla, respectively first and third sprinters. The Belarussian and the Slovakians came down to the sixth and fifth place.
The blue Pietro Dutto missed too much (2 + 1 + 0 + 4) and slipped to 20th place.

The Siberian 31-year-old ran out of competition, gaining so much advantage over the trial that he could afford to go 5 times to win and still win the third gold medal in three days. Sleptsova, who yesterday announced the withdrawal from the agility, explained he was the sweet wait.
Silver medal for Nadiia Bielkina, who built his square of precision on the polygon, especially on his feet. Bronze medal for Paulina Fialkova, despite some too much mess in the mid-shot sessions.  In the junior female race, Russia has made a triple. However, the gold medal was won by a girl who had missed the podium yesterday. This is Natalia Ushkina, fourth in the sprint, which was very precise today at the polygon. Without a single target, he has taken advantage of the best of the pastries of others, collecting a well-deserved success without even impressing on the skiroll.
Behind the "formichina" Ushkina, the "cicadas" Kristina Reztsova and Valeriia Vasnetcova were placed. Both have kept an excellent pace, but they missed replay at the pitch (respectively 7 and 6 times). At least they are silver and bronze, while Belarusian Dzinara Alimbekava - second yesterday - has slipped to sixth place.

Last but not least, the men's juniors' pursuit was an extremely exciting race, as sprint winner Igor Malinovskii missed repetition on the ground, seeing him reached and overtaken by Taras Lesiuk, a perfect shot in shooting.
In standing shooting sessions the roles were overturned, with the tread to be more mistaken than the tracker, but it was not able to spill the gap. So gold for Lesiuk and silver for Malinovskii.
The bronze was the stepping-stone of Russian Stepan Parfenov, who took advantage of the Slovak debacle, Simon Bartko, who after a fantastic comeback that allowed him to take third place from the 11th in the start, missed three goals in his closing, Slipping to fourth place.
