The squad for the World Cup appointment that will precede the Pokljuka World Championships: off Thursday with the women's individual and five blue in the race.

There are ten, equally divided between men and women, the blues chosen for the home leg, that of Anterselva, the last one before the Pokljuka World Cup. The technical director Fabrizio Curtaz has summoned Michela Carrara and Nicole Gontier, back in the top circuit after having also missed the first two stages of January in Oberhof (Irene Lardschneider, seen in Germany, remains out instead), as well as Federica Sanfilippo, Lisa Vittozzi and the hostess Dorothea Wierer, who also took home the two world titles in Anterselva last February. In the men's field we will see Thomas Bormolini, Didier Bionaz, Dominik Windisch, Tommaso Giacomel and Lukas Hofer, in great condition after having touched the podium several times in Oberhof (caught with the relay). The program includes the women's individual contest on Thursday 21 January (2.15 pm), followed by the men's individual on Friday 22nd (1.15 pm), while on Saturday 23 there will be the women's mass start and the men's relay at 13.10 and 15.05 , closing on Sunday with the women's relay and the men's mass start (12.45 and 15.05). In Arber, Germany, the IBU Cup continues with the second stage in the same location that hosted the first competitions of the continental circuit last week. Two male and female sprints are scheduled from Wednesday 20 and Friday 22 January and on Saturday 23 January the relay races, with Eleonora Fauner, Rebecca Passler, Beatrice Trabucchi, Saverio Zini, Giuseppe Montello, Daniele Cappellari and Patrick Braunhofer in the race.
