The call-ups of Norway, France and Germany for Kontiolahti have been officialized

For the transalpines the post-Fourcade era opens, no surprise for the choices of Norway and Germany.

In the last few days, the national teams that will take part in the first stage of the Biathlon World Cup in Kontiolahti have announced the composition of the teams in view of the appointment in Finland. France has announced the athletes who will be competing for the two opening stages on Monday: there are no big surprises, except that of the rookie Perrillat-Bottonet, born in 1997; the other five athletes named are Fabien Claude, Simon Desthieux, Quentin Fillon Maillet, Antonin Guigonnat and Emilien Jacquelin. In the women's field, the return of Anais Chevalier stands out, after the forced break due to maternity, which will be joined by Anais Bescond, Justine Braisaz, Chloè Chevalier, Caroline Colombo and Julia Simon. The Norwegian team is also complete; in the men's sector, in addition to World Cup holder Johannes Thingnes Bø, Erlend Øvereng Bjøntegaard, Tarjei Bø, Vetle Sjåstad Christiansen, Johannes Dale and Sturla Holm Lægreid have been called up. In women, in addition to the two veterans Tiril Kampenhaug Eckhoff and Marte Olsbu Røiseland, Emilie Kalkenberg, Karoline Knotten, Ida Lien and Ingrid Landmark Tandrevold were called. Full quota also in Germany; the six men chosen for Kontiolahti are: Benedikt Doll, Lukas Fratzscher, Philipp Horn, Johannes Kuhn, Arnd Peiffer and Simon Schempp. In the women's sector, however, Denise Hermann, Janina Hettich, Vanessa Hinz, Karolin Orchler, Franziska Preuss and Stefanie Scherer have been called up.
