Wierer and Hofer: here is the blue couple for the Single Mixed of Pokljuka 2021. France leaves Jacquelin to rest

Once the two Individuals who did not give the first, expected, medal to Italy have been archived, the biathlon world championship is projecting towards its last part. Tomorrow at 15:15 the Single Mixed is scheduled, while between Saturday and Sunday there will be the relays and starts in line.

Among the 28 nations registered in the mixed pairs relay, there is a first level starter camp, with some surprises and some excellent exclusions. Italy, in continuity with the last two world championships, comes to the start with a podium duo made up of Dorothea Wierer and Lukas Hofer. A well-established combination, which won silver at Oestersund 2019 and which often did well in similar formats during the Christmas celebrations. A surprise move for France, which leaves Emilien Jacquelin on the bench to make room for Antonin Guigonnat. Julian Simon will be with him. Norway instead lined up Johannes Boe and Tiril Eckhoff: therefore excluding, as expected, Mars Roeiseland, who last year was gold medal together with "Giovannino" in this race. Starting couple for Sweden, at the start with Hanna Oeberg and Samuelsson, and for the terrifying Austria, competing with Hauser and Eder. Germany is playing it safe and fielding Preuss and Lesser, while Russia will be able to count on Pavlova and Latypov. Here is the complete Starlist!
