Given now for sure the farewell to the competitions of Anastasiya Kuzmina and waiting to know the future of Kaisa Mäkäräinen and Laura Dahlmeier, from the Czech Republic comes the news of a possible return to action of a caliber of 90 for the world biathlon movement .
The twenty-nine-year-old Czech biathlete, winner of the 2015/16 General World Cup and 17 races of the maximum circuit and stopped in the pits for physical and personal reasons for two years, declared in an interview that he wanted to return to the races.
At the moment the chances of seeing her again with the rifle on her shoulder are "50 and 50", as she herself said, but they are growing compared to a few months ago, when she expressed strong doubts about her physical fitness. Now, after a few months of training, Gabriela is more confident: "My body responds better than I expected. It would be a shame to waste talent if everything works well".
For a final decision we will have to wait a few more weeks, but the latest statements have whetted the imagination of all the fans, since the presence in the Koukalova circuit would increase media interest and the technical rate. Moreover, with the simultaneous explosion of Marketa Davidova, the Czech Republic could return to dream big. At the upcoming World Championships in Anterselva, Wierer and Vittozzi could find an extra opponent.
