Tomorrow at 11:45 the women's 15 kilometers will officially open the 2021/22 Biathlon World Cup. At 15:00 it will be the men's turn, while on Sunday the two sprints will complete the program of the first of the two race weekends in Oestersund.

In the women's field, almost all the athletes with podium ambitions have chosen to start in the first group. Among them also the Italians Dorothea Wierer (15) and Lisa Vittozzi (16), who will start one after the other just before two possible protagonists: Yuliia Dzhima (17), great specialist of the format, and Lisa Theresa Hauser (18 ), fresh from the best season of his career. Michela Carrara (35) and the two young rookies in the World Cup will also be at the start for Italy: Rebecca Passler (87) and Samuela Comola (106). The race will go live immediately: with the 3 Tirill Eckhoff will take to the track, with the 4 Franziska Preuss, with the 7 Ingrid Landmark Tandrevold, while with the 10 and 11 it will be the turn of Julia Simon and Hanna Oeberg. Quentin Fillon Maillet (6), Martin Ponsiluoma (8) and Benedikt Doll (12) will also have low bibs. With bib 16 it will be the turn of Lukas Hofer, the first of the five Italians at the start.
