At the end of the season, Laura, who in her career has already won everything, had left all decisions regarding her future in the biathlon world pending, causing fears of an early retirement like that of her compatriot Magdalena Neuner. Goodbye that would have been really traumatic for the female sector, already orphan the next season of Darya Domracheva, Marie Dorin-Habert and probably also of Gabriela Koukalovà . The Bavarian, after the winter hardships, spent a long holiday in Georgia and for about two and a half months did not even take the rifle. She said she had doubts about the motivations to continue a career that has already seen her win on all fronts.

 In recent days, however, Laura said she still has the desire to fight daily and be very motivated. After missing the first meetings with the German national team, she returned to training at full capacity, alternating sessions on skirolles, cycling and running in the mountains, all in the magnificent scenery of South Tyrol.
