Czech Republic dominant in the pursuits of the World Cup

On the final day of the summer world championships in progress at Nove Mesto (Cze), the home team has collected medals both in senior competitions and in those reserved for juniors.

The senior men's chase was won by Ondrej Moravec who with only one shot error, committed in the last series, managed to overtake his compatriot Michal Krcmar (0 + 0 + 2 + 0), yesterday's sprint winner and today silver medal. Third step of the podium for Artem Pryma (0 + 0 + 2 + 0), author of a great comeback in the final round against the Austrian Jakob, 4th on the finish line. Russian Nikita Porshnev and Ukrainian Vitaliy Kilchytskyy had to settle for 5th and 6th place, fighting against Krcmar for the silver to the decisive polygon, where they both made mistakes. Also in the women's test the gold was won by a Czech athlete, to be precise Veronika Vitkova, who was able to redeem herself from the disappointment of the 4th place in yesterday's sprint. The home athlete, despite the two shooting errors, evenly distributed in the standing series, preceded by 21 "the Slovak Paulina Fialkova (2 + 0 + 1 + 1) and 27" the Kazakh Galina Vishnevskaya (0+ 0 + 1 + 1). Outside the medals area instead the Polish Monika Hojnisz, too inaccurate in the last series, where he missed two targets. The day was however opened by competitions reserved for juniors, in which Russia won two gold medals, with Vasnetcova for women and Maleev for men. The former got the better of the Polish Zuk, winner of yesterday's sprint but today unable to handle the wide margin, and of the Czech Davidova. The second instead preceded the Ukrainian Tsymbal and another home athlete, Jakub Stvrtecky.
