The German hegemony in the bobsled World Cup does not seem to stop. In Koenigssee in the fourth round of the season, Germany dominated all three competitions in the program, winning the twelfth success on the same number of disputed races.

The Teutonic squadron had as great protagonist the champion Francesco Friedrich who won the fourth win of the season in the two-man bob and the fourth consecutive podium in the four-man bob.
The two-time Olympic champion had to sweat the proverbial seven shirts to keep their unbeaten in the two-man bobsled as the Canadian Justin Kripps had hoisted himself into the lead at the end of the first descent. In the final heat Friedrich and his habitual brakeman Martin Grothkopp, however, printed the best lap time recovering with interest the 3 cents of delay and inflicting further 11 cents to the main opponent of the day.
With this success the twenty-eight of Pirna continues to stretch in the overall standings of the World Cup. Friedrich also complicit the misstep of his direct rival Oskars Kibermanis who finished sixth in Bavaria, now has a margin of 96 lengths ahead of the Baltic when we reached the middle of the season.
The men's two-man podium was completed by the German Johannes Lochner, who was 43 cents away from the winner. The German preceded the increasingly convincing Frenchman Romain Heinrich by 9 cents and the opaque team-mate Nico Walther by 20 cents.
Lochner redeemed himself in the four-man bob, where together with the brakes Rasp, Rademacher and Bauer took the first win of the season. The twenty-eight original of Berchtesgaden has exploited in the best possible way the field factor leading from the first descent. Lochner preceded the Latvian Kibermanis by 18 cents and the compatriot Francesco Friedrich by 33 cents. This last thanks to the fourth consecutive podium has maintained the leadership in the general classification even if now the margin of advantage on Lochner has dropped to 33 points.
Among the women third seasonal affirmation for the Olympic champion Mariama Jamanka. The German teamed up with Annika Drazek had virtually no rivals by printing two photocopied times in both the scheduled heats, preceding 36 cents for the American Elana Meyers Taylor and for 49 cents the national teammate Stephanie Schneider. The former former brakeman of Berlin is increasingly leading the World Cup standings. In fact, Jamanka has 124 points ahead of Schneider who is in second place on the list.
The next round of the bobsleigh circuit is scheduled for 7 days on the Igls piste just outside Innsbruck. Will Tyrol also continue to dominate the Teutonic?
