The German Mariama Jamanka is the new world female bobsleigh champion. The twenty-eight-year-old from Berlin, paired with the frenoman Annika Drazek at Whistler during the Italian night, literally dominated the world championship, completing the hat trick of triumphs in the discipline in just over 12 months.

The ex-discobola and then ex-braking Teutonic between February 2018 and today has won everything that could be won in the two-man bob, or Olympic gold medal, European title, world cup and championship world, entering law in the history of this sport.
Before her, only one other European athlete had succeeded in this venture: the legendary Sandra Kiriasis. While considering only the triplete (olympiad, world cup and world cup n.d.r.) then the Canadian Kaillie Humphries must be included in this small club.

The world champion in charge and her braking Lake Kwaza came out of the cockpit rather badly deciding not to take part in the final heat.
The error of Meyers-Taylor has in fact paved the way for the double win, giving Germany a one-two that was missing from the hat trick of Altenberg 2008.
Third place for a radiant Christine De Bruin celebrating her thirtieth birthday with an almost unexpected bronze medal. Great fourth place for the junior world champion Katrin Beierl who proves to be ready to play the top positions in the standings.
Once the women's race was staged, the team test was held which only saw 9 teams. In this case, too, Germany won with skeletists Grotheer, Gribel and the bobbyists Lochner and Kohler, ahead of just 15 cents for Canada and 64 cents for the United States.
