Even them, the girls from Switzerland who conquer the 2021 edition of the curling world championships, two years after the title brought home to Denmark.
On the Canadian ice of Calgary (where Italy was not present), the national team led by Silvana Tirinzoni literally dominated the competition, winning 14 of the 15 scheduled games, even if the final against Russia was anything but simple; 4-2 the result, with the 2 points at the fourth end that direct a match in balance, but which in the end brings the Swiss to the eighth world title, at the women's level, in their very rich showcase.
The bronze, somewhat surprisingly, comes from the United States, which beat Sweden 9-5 in the final for 3rd-4th place.
