The match against the hosts ended with a somewhat bitter defeat for the playoff prospects of this world championship.
After collecting 6 points in the first end which compromised the fate of the match a little, Italy was able to react by playing better in the second part. In fact, the tenacity fielded by the blue couple allowed him a progressive recovery up to 10-7 at the end of the seventh hand. Switzerland completes the work by scoring a point in the eighth end valid for the 11-7 final in a match that could have ended earlier, given the lucky start due to Arman’s missed ball.
At 6 pm, the match against Norway is a pivotal playoff game in which the Constatini-Arman couple must win in order to approach the playoffs.
