The clear defeat against the Asians does not bring down Team Retornaz who, thanks to an exceptional second part of the game with the Germans, keeps the playoff hopes alive.

On the fifth day of the Curling World Cup, Italy first yields to a good South Korea 10-5 at the ninth end and then overtakes Germany 11-8 with a solid team performance. The sixth and eighth ends were decisive in which the Azzurri scored 3 points on both occasions. In particular, on 7 equal Jöel Retornaz pulls the rabbit out of the hat with his first shot: a surgical double run that removes three opposing stones in a situation with a high risk of stolen hand. Four games from the end of the group the men's national team led by coach Claudio Pescia is seventh with a 4-4 record, like Norway, which could be the most important rival to beat in the last two days. In theory, you need 3 wins to get to the playoffs. Today at 6 pm there is the listed Switzerland and at 4 am the Czech Republic.
