After the glorious medal in Las Vegas, instead of returning home, the Azzurri flew to Toronto in Canada for the prestigious grand slam.

For the first time in the history of Curling, an Italian, or rather an Italian team, will be present in one of the great curling slams that are mainly held in Canada. In this specific case, the Players Championship will be held at the Mattamy Atlethic Center in Toronto in which big names such as Canadian Brad Gushue, Niklas Edin and Bruce Mouat participate, the only two non-Canadians to win this tournament since its inception in 1993.
Retornaz will face Niklas Edin in the first round and will try to advance in the tournament draw.
