The curling world championships stop and once again Covid is complicating the plans.
At the end of the first phase of the world championship in Calgary, 4 positive cases were found with 3 teams involved. No match on Saturday and the situation gets complicated; as reported by Dario Puppo, four other national teams have been identified as “close contact” that may have to undergo quarantine. In the state of Alberta, 14 days are required by protocol. In any case, Italy is not involved and, after the elimination with the 7th place finish, Retornaz and his teammates are already on their way home.
Since February 19, when the bubble was created at the Olympic Park in Calgary to organize the Canadian national championships, the World Championships and the Grand Slam trials, they are the first positive results recorded in over 1000 tests carried out.
