Team Retornaz writes history by clearly defeating the United States 13-4. This is the first time in the history of the men's sector.

The rematch between Italy and the United States is the clearest script compared to the previous meeting between the two nations. The clear start of Team Retornaz allows him to move forward in the score thanks to the four stones scored.
The North American response, however, did not take long to make itself heard, who exploited the mistakes of the blue quartet to shorten the gap to 4-3 after only three ends. Retornaz and his team mates do not lose heart by raising their level of performance and go to the interval at 7-3. The last American jolt with the victory of the sixth end is of little use, because in the seventh the Azzurri placed six stones at home which effectively sanction the end of the game with the clear result of 13-4. The substantial difference is also noticeable in the percentages of yield between the two nations with Italy at 84% outclassing the United States with a poor 68% overall.
This is the second prestigious result in the history of curling for our colors after the Olympic gold won by Mosaner and Constatini. Confirmation of the group's growth in international performance in a sport that is not practiced compared to other nations.
