"In my opinion, the risk must be kept separate from daring," said Goggia. "When I compete for risk, it is part of the calculation of all the possible circumstances you are facing, and behaving accordingly makes it acceptable. In the season just ended, after my ankle injury, I accepted the risk of getting back on track even if the fracture was not completely composed and fortunately things went in the best way ".
"A specialty like snowboardcross is quite dangerous from a certain point of view - explained Michela Moioli instead - Unlike a downhill racer like Sofia, I compete simultaneously with three other opponents and consequently the risk is amplified. At the 2014 Sochi Olympics I was just 18 years old, I went over to the final and paid for it by falling and injuring myself. In PyeongChang I behaved differently, listening to my coaches' advice and taking risks in the right way, a tactic that paid off. Risks make us grow ".
