The FISI is preparing to celebrate the milestone of 100 years since its birth and is preparing to elect (in the competition only the living athletes who have participated in the various editions of the World Cup in their respective disciplines) the athlete who in this century of life wrote the most beautiful pages of winter sports among the fifteen disciplines belonging to the Federation.
A game that initially involved 32 names lined up in a tennis scoreboard, the winner of which will be voted on weekly by fans through www.fisi.org and www.gazzetta.it, until the proclamation on Tuesday 6 October. With the first round closed, this week we vote for the pairings of the round of 16: Alberto Tomba faces Michela Moioli, for a confrontation between Olympic champions and World Cup winners, the kings of speed, Kristian Ghedina and Dominik Paris, compete against each other, and then again Manuela Di Centa and Dorothea Wierer between cross country and biathlon, with the alpine derby between Federica Brignone and Isolde Kostner that will be equally interesting.
A curious contrast of style between Federico Pellegrino and Sofia Goggia, two myths of the past like Piero Gros and Maurilio De Zolt and finally a thrilling double confrontation between legends such as Deborah Compagnoni and Armin Zoeggerler and finally Gustavo Thoeni against Stefania Belmondo.
