The first Italian woman to conquer the Alpine Ski World Cup challenges the one who triumphed 12 months ago (and signed the legendary encore in the cup): the announcement of the winner on Friday 30 October.

Awarded to Alberto Tomba the recognition of "Athlete of the century" during the celebrations for the 100th anniversary of the birth of the FISI, it is time to choose the Athlete of the Year 2020 among the Italian winter disciplines.
Of the initial shortlist of candidates that led to a first phase of voting, only two names remained in the running: Federica Brignone, the first Italian in history to win the Women's Alpine Ski World Cup, and Dorothea Wierer, queen for the second year in a row in biathlon with the absolute crystal ball and the two gold medals at the World Championships in Anterselva. “Doro”, among other things, triumphed in the FISI 2019 edition competition.
As in the previous occasion, for fans the second and decisive vote will take place (once again only one vote is allowed each, multiple votes will be automatically recognized by the system and canceled) at the email address atletafisi@fisi.org until 12.00 on Wednesday 28 October.
The announcement of the winner is scheduled for Friday 30 October.
