The place chosen is far from casual, given that in a few months it will host the 2021 Alpine Ski World Championships and, five years later, it will be one of the beating hearts of the 2026 Winter Olympic Games.
Cortina d''Ampezzo will host the third edition of the "Snow and Ice Grand Gala" on Saturday 1 August, the event organized by "La Gazzetta dello Sport", in collaboration with the Cortina 2021 Foundation, FISI, FISG and AUDI, for celebrate the blue champions of the winter disciplines. It will begin at 18 in Piazza Dibona, with the awarding of the Fiocchi d''Oro and the Fiocchi d''Argento for the athletes of the various disciplines who have been protagonists in the last season.
There will be all the winners of the absolute World Cups, from Federica Brignone to Dorothea Wierer, up to the snowboard aces Roland Fischnaller and Michela Moioli. And then Dominik Paris, Federico Pellegrino, Lisa Vittozzi, Lara Malsiner, Mattia Gaspari and Valentina Margaglio who have conquered a historic world bronze in the skeleton, and many others.
