Five finalists for the 2021 FISI athlete: Bassino, Goggia, Wierer, Eydallin and Pellegrino in the race

After the first round of voting, it will now be possible to return to choose among the candidates until next October 27th.

The first phase of the voting to nominate the FISI athlete of the year for this 2021 has ended. A recognition now in its 37th edition, which is awarded thanks to the votes of the readers of www.fisi.org for the 2020/21 season. Of the ten candidates initially present, the preferences reached at the address atletafisi@fisi.org have reduced the shortlist of candidates to the final success to five names, for which it will be possible to vote at the same address until 11.59 pm on Wednesday 27 October, last available date. The votes received so far will be reset, so it will be possible to allocate a new vote only once (any further emails will be automatically deleted from the server); the winner will be announced on Sunday 31 October in Modena, during the “ModenaFiere Skipass” course, to which FISI members will have free admission. The finalists? Alpine skiing will have the two stars capable of conquering a crystal ball last year, namely Marta Bassino queen of the giant and Sofia Goggia who won the second downhill World Cup. And then biathlon with Dorothea Wierer, ski mountaineering with Matteo Eydallin, world gold medalist and cup winner in the Individual, and cross-country skiing with its Federico Pellegrino symbol, who brought the CdM sprint back to Italy.
