The election of the new FISI Committee of Alto Adige, arrived after the commissioner in recent months, saw 50-year-old Markus Ortler (former coach in the women's national ski team) become the new president, with 900 margin votes ( 8965 against 8066, with 52.54% of preferences) on Helmuth Senfter.
"I thank the many companies involved (as many as 109 out of 112) for the trust they have given to me and to my board - the words of the new number 1 of the FISI Alto Adige - I have been in the Committee for over ten years and will continue our work, which has given us many successes and satisfactions ". Markus Ortler, who succeeds Hermann Ambach, will remain in office for three years until 2022.
Also the National President Flavio Roda and the councilors Dalpez, Longo and Thoma intervened in Bolzano, as did the president of the local CONI Heinz Gutweniger and the former numbers of the FISI Alto Adige, Helmuth Adams and Richard Weißensteiner, with the commissioner Vittorio Menghini who has conducted the elective assembly.
The Committee foresees seven councilors from Ortler's list (Leander Moroder, Christian Polig, Giorgio Giovanelli, Walter Eberhöfer, Roland Unterleitner, Monika Santa and Isabella Filippi Braunhofer), three instead of the Senfter list with Lidia Bernardi, Alexander Zoeschg and the former downhill skier blue Werner Heel, while Denise Karbon did not enter the council.
