The appointment, at the Auditorium Hq Pirelli in Milan Bicocca, saw all the great champions taking part in a magical season for Italy, starting with the triumphs in the World Cup and the World Championships of the blue biathlon star, absent due to flu, and of the giant of the Val d''Ultimo, awarded directly by the federal president Flavio Roda. Paris smiled thinking of the future: "Do you bargain a victory for Kitz with the downhill cup? I don't want to choose, because next year I will try to conquer that as well. Now I've put my skis off for quite a while, but I'll be ready in the summer. Meanwhile, a bit of music and a nice concert in my program at the end of June ... ".
Tina Maze, godmother of the evening, announced at the opening the prize of the silver bow for Sofia Goggia, handed over to the Bergamo champion by the landlord, the ad of Pirelli Marco Tronchetti Provera, and by the president of the CONI, Giovanni Malagò . "It was very hard to accept a stop due to injury seven days after the start of the season - said the Olympic champion of downhill - but the stimulus of the World Championship was fundamental to get back in and get a silver for me beautiful. The future? With these conditions in the Alps, I will make the most of the situation to train especially in giant: it is the mother discipline that will be worth as a password to improve even in fast races ".
The biathlon also celebrated an unforgettable season with Dominik Windisch and Lisa Vittozzi, who were given the silver jib: "At least for now the medal I haven't broken - the champion of the mass start smiled - I think I never learned to give up after so many years as a young man, when I always came last. Anterselva 2020? Having a World Cup at home can only happen once in a lifetime, there will be so much pressure but I am convinced that we will have to enjoy it and live it to the fullest ". The champion of Sappada, awarded by Michela Ponza, showed the usual determination: "I can only say that I am satisfied for the season, even if I did not bring home the maximum goal, namely the World Cup. With Dorothea it was a historic duel for our sport, it was very nice for everyone ".
Silver bow also for the cross-country skiers Federico Pellegrino and Francesco De Fabiani, as well as for the Olympic champion Michela Moioli, on stage together with Roland Fischnaller to represent snowboarding. And then the multi-medalized world paralympic ski, Giacomo Bertagnolli and Fabrizio Casal, the young prospects like Alex Vinatzer and Lara Malsiner, passing by the sled and skeleton group led by Armin Zoeggeler, up to the blades with Mattia Rizzo and Francesca Lollobrigida.
The winning legends have responded to the names of Kristian Ghedina, Carolina Kostner and Arianna Fontana, who confirmed his return to the ice "to reach the Beijing Games 2022", while the president Flavio Roda spoke of a "positive balance especially for the quality of the successes, considering that the year after the Olympics is never simple. And we are still working to increase this level, starting with work on young people ".
The intervention of Giovanni Malagò, linked to the candidacy for the Milan-Cortina 2026 Olympics, could not miss: “This event is concomitant with the visit of the IOC commission; in these five days I think a great figure has been made and I am confident, but woe to think that you have already won. Certainly our athletes are the best calling card and attention - the president of Coni smiles - because I had guarantees from Dominik Paris and Carolina Kostner to be there in 2026, but Ghedina does not want to miss ... ".
