The president of the FISI, Flavio Roda, with an urgent resolution has indeed been forced to appoint the extraordinary commissioner for the FISI Alto Adige, which responds to the name of Vittorio Menghini.
The Bolzano executive was already commissioner of the same committee in 2008 and for many years national councilor of the Italian Winter Sports Federation; Menghini will therefore have the task of bringing the FISI Alto Adige to new elections, which will have to be held within 90 days as required by the Federal Statute, after the commissioner announced in recent days, following the decision of the Federal Court of Appeal which upheld the appeal of the Sport Club Pfalzen.
The case was related to the election of President Hermann Ambach (in office consecutively since 2008), which took place on June 10, 2018, defeating challenger Helmuth Senfter, not regulating according to the canons because Ambach could not have been re-elected because he had not reached a majority vote of 55%, but only 53% being in the fourth presidential term.
