The Palazzo della Provincia Autonoma di Trento hosted the award ceremony for the young athletes of the Fiamme Gialle Skiing Group of Predazzo who, in the winter season that has just ended, achieved excellent results on an international level. '' precisely on this challenge, the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games, which the Fiamme Gialle are already projecting today, together with the institutional partners who have always supported them, to try to transform these young hopes into champions capable of conquering high-profile results at the Olympics. In opening the series of speeches, General Aniello underlined the strong bond that unites the Fiamme Gialle with Trentino. In presenting the awarded athletes, Aniello defined them as “ambassadors offered by the Fiamme Gialle on the plate of the organization of the next Olympic Games”. Addressing those present, he then added: “It is up to you, as it should be, to plan and design integrated interventions, especially infrastructural ones. I am sure that you will be able to enhance this splendid territorial reality as never before in the next world showcase. In this sense, we are ready to contribute - as we have always done at major events - with our support in terms of human, logistical and material resources. From the most congenial point of view - the purely competitive one - we are starting from now on girls and boys who have the mission to accomplish in mind ”. In his speech, Councilor Failoni said: “This council loves sport and is attentive to sport. Trentino already has the 2026 Olympics in mind, these guys are perfectly in line with the age to aspire to be protagonists in the Games at home. We have high expectations in you. For Trentino, sport is health, but it is also economy. Therefore sport assumes a 'strategic importance for this territory'. In closing, the host Maurizio Fugatti wanted to congratulate the Fiamme Gialle for the important results obtained and, looking at the athletes present, suggested not making them too responsible. The President of the Province also expressed a broader concept, which generally concerns the younger generations, "stopped" for more than a year due to the pandemic: "This pandemic is having repercussions on these young people also in terms of educational and social. These young people, whose sports activities have long been suspended, look to you, who have managed in these difficult moments to play sports and to win, as examples. You are models of athletes, but also models of life ”.
