The world championship of mountain running, staged at Villa La Angostura, saw the Azzurri play a leading role.

The Italian national team has taken the beauty of 7 medals in the world championships in Argentina, in the heart of the wildest Patagonia. A double gold medal has arrived in the Under 20 category, with the Trentino Angela Mattevi, originally from Segonzano (Val di Cembra), who beat everyone in the individual test and dragged her companions to win the team title, shared with Giovanna Selva (seventh), Anna Arnaudo (ninth) and Elisa Pastorelli (19th).
