Initially the date was set for 31 August 2020, now comes the extension of a month and a half regarding the ban from home FISI to organize federal competitions and, for athletes, to participate in national and international events.
Everyone in the pits until October 15, with the start set in practice with the opening giants of the Alpine Skiing World Cup, October 17-18 in Soelden: “Following the Decree-Law no. 83 approved on 30 July on the Urgent Measures connected with the expiry of the epidemiological emergency declaration from COVID-19 approved on 31 January 2020 - reads the note from the FISI - which provides for the extension of the state of emergency in Italy until 15 October 2020 , with the President's urgent resolution, no. 177 of 7 August 2020, the renewal of the prohibition for athletes to take part in national and international competitions and, also, not to authorize the organization of any federal competition as well as the relative participation until 15 October 2020 ".
