Antonio Noris and Roberto Bortoluzzi to challenge Flavio Roda in the upcoming federation elections on October 10

With 40 days to go before the elections to form the board that will lead the Italian Winter Sports Federation for the next Olympic four-year term, Monday, August 31 marked the close of the process for submitting presidential candidacies, ahead of the vote scheduled for Saturday, October 10 at Fiere Verona.

The FISI has now made it official as well, following our preview, and there will be three candidates for the top position: alongside Flavio Roda, the outgoing president who is aiming to remain in office through 2030, are Antonio Noris, already part of the federal administration and head of Sci Club Zanetti Goggi, and Roberto Bortoluzzi, the longtime president of the Veneto regional committee.

To secure a fourth term, the Bolognese administrator will have to obtain two-thirds of the votes in the first round to remain at the helm of the sport; otherwise, Roda will have no further opportunity, since under the regulation issued by CONI in 2026 to expand governance beyond three consecutive elections, 66.67% is required, with no run-off option (or the possibility of standing again in a new election after 90 days), as happened to Andrea Gios, who failed to be re-elected to the FISG presidency after stopping just below 64%. For the other candidates, 50%+1 will be sufficient.

The Federation has also announced the candidates for the board: Elisabetta Biavaschi, Davide Carrara, Roberta Cataldi, Manuela Di Centa, Silvio Fauner, Sebastiano Fontanarosa, Igor Ghedina, Christian Haas, Stefano Longo, Stefano Maldifassi, Sabina Matheoud, Tiziano Mellarini, Marco Mosso, Enzo Sima, Michele Tommasi, Gianfranco Zacchini and Bianca Zupi.

As for the athlete representatives on the board, the five candidates are Christian Colombo, Jacopo Koch, Giuliano Razzoli, Elena Sandulli and Verena Stuffer; representing the coaches are Carlo Dal Pozzo, Giuseppe Gazzotti and Claudio Ravetto.

Finally, the candidates for president of the Board of Statutory Auditors are Maurizio Annitto, Francesco Bettoni, Gianluca Cascioli and Elio Grigoletto.
