Sofia Goggia and Dominik Fischnaller, a new summer challenge with "Red Bull Ready4Challenge"

The downhill skier and the tobogganist ready for a special training session in Predazzo on July 6th. The coach Matteo Artina explains everything

It's called "Red Bull Ready4Challenge" and is much more than just a training program. The ambassadors are two champions of winter sports, Sofia Goggia and Dominik Fischnaller, ready to prepare for a special event like the "Red Bull 400", the steepest short run in the world (400 meters of uphill running, up to 78% of slope and with a difference in height of 135 meters) that will take place next July 6 in Predazzo, in Val di Fiemme. It was presented by Matteo Artina, personal trainer of the same Goggia (and of the other Olympic champion Michela Moioli) and doctor of physical education and physiotherapy, the project that will allow anyone to train like the champions to try to participate in this challenge; 8 weeks of preparation are planned, starting from 6 May, consisting of three workouts per week that will alternate free body exercises with running sessions. "I find it fun and stimulating to try something new, and this race is definitely out of the ordinary, for me it is certainly a new experience that I will combine with athletic training - said the same Olympic downhill - Training, targeted and functional, I will prepare to face the 400 verticals in the best possible way ". Dominik Fischnaller is on the same wavelength: "Even for an athlete the 400 vertical represents a challenge that puts both mind and body to the test. My mantra for this race, which I will have the pleasure of sharing with all the participants, will be to not be discouraged and always keep in mind your goals ". Matteo Artina illustrates the concept behind the program that helped create: "Red Bull Ready4Challenge is a training program designed to stimulate not only ordinary people, but also professional athletes such as Sofia Goggia and Dominik Fischnaller, to get out of their" comfort zone "and challenge yourself in something unexpected - explains the 34-year-old preparer from Bergamo - In this perspective, an event like the Red Bull 400, in which a very steep slope must be tackled in the shortest possible time, represents an opportunity to abandon the their own schemes and training rituals and try their hand at a new challenge ”. How can you participate? It is sufficient to register on the site www.redbull.com/challenge to be invited to join the dedicated closed group on Facebook, in which Matteo Artina will share the weekly training cards - which will be accompanied by specific videos that will see Sofia Goggia and Dominik as protagonists Fischnaller - and will be of support to all those who will take part in the program. Furthermore, in all McFIT centers in Italy, starting from May 9th and every Thursday until June 27th, it will be possible to carry out the 3rd workout of the weekly card directly in the gym, taking part in the Red Bull Ready4Challenge course. The four participants who prove to be more motivated will win the chance to participate in the event, guests of Red Bull.
