On the occasion of the official ceremony of the assignment of the winter edition of the EYOF 2023 to the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, which was staged today in Trieste, the number one of the CONI expressed words of praise towards the organizing committee.

"Now we have to start rolling up our sleeves - explained Maurizio Dunnhofer Executive President of EYOF2023 who added - with today's formalization the organizational machine has started. Dunnhofer also spoke of the cross-border collaboration with Planica in Slovenia in view of the youth event, but has not yet cleared the reservations about the possibility of starting the Tarvisio races of the 30 and 50 km of cross-country skiing of the World Ski Championships Nordic scheduled in the same year in the Slovenian resort, "Since the beginning of this project we have spoken with the organizers of the Planica races, the cradle of ski jumping worldwide. Our event will be held at the end of January 2023 therefore will not hinder the competition program of the Slovenian resort. As for the Nordic skiing world championships, there is a willingness on the part of the local institutions of Tarvisio and also by the Region to start the world champion skiing start fund from Tarvisio. We need to analyze the financial aspects well but I think there is great desire to ensure that Friuli Venezia Giul be involved in this world event. "
