Kim Yu-Na not take part in the upcoming Grand Prix due to an injury that could also prove more serious than expected.

The news was disclosed during the day today by the Federation of Korean figure skating (KSU).
The world champion in office would be struggling with a problem metatarsal in his right foot that will force it to take a break from training at least six weeks. However, the recovery times are still unknown and may be longer.
A representative of the KSU said that "if Kim will continue to train at full capacity the injury could worsen. Then will have to stand firm in such a way as to allow the lesion restituted. At the end of the rest period will evaluate whether it will be need for further therapies. "
The twenty-three Asian was forced to forfeit Skate Canada (25-27 October) and the Trophee Eric Bompard (November 15 to 17), respectively the second and fifth stage of the Grand Prix.
The injury is a heavy tile to Kim for the preparation of the Olympic Games in Sochi where it will compete to win the second gold in a row after the one in Vancouver. In fact, South Korea had decided to participate in the Grand Prix just to prepare for the competition at Five circles although at this point will have to revise his plans clear.
