During the first two stages of the Grand Prix, the average level of artistic couples descended on the ice has grown exponentially and have already been improved several records at all levels (personal, national, continental, global). The first signs had occurred at the Olympic qualifier held in Oberstdorf, but, more generally, the trend has been typical of the four Olympic course. Troubling four pairs currently on everyone's lips, the World Champions in office Volosozhar / Trankov are increased compared to the best result of last season by more than two points, the new Canadian record holders Moore-Towers/Moscovitch have had an increase of close to nine points, Berton / Hotarek have added six and a half points to the previous limit Italian and Russian youth Stolbova / Klimov were authors of a leap of almost fifteen points. In pssata season, filed the first two Grand Prix events, performance up to 180 points were only four, while in the'' current edition were exactly twice, complete with a five results beyond 190 points, one less than compared to those recorded in all the qualifying stages of 2012. With regard to the Italian couple, the growth was mainly on the technical, especially on the degree of implementation, while on the PCS (program components score) were almost ricofermate the feedback obtained during the third-place finish in the European Championships. The real masterpiece is the short program that got a TES (tecnical elements score) of 39.46. In this regard, it should be stressed as in the four Olympic course, characterized by the presence of one element shorter than the first segment of the race, only eight times has been obtained a higher score. The best so far have been Volosozhar / Trankov (three times over 39,50 with a maximum of 44.99), followed by Duhamel / Radford (twice over 40 with a maximum of 41.10), Savchenko / Szolkowy (40.63 in the final Grand Prix of 2010), Pang / Tong (40.09 in the World Championships in Moscow in 2011) and Moore-Towers/Moscovitch (39.59'' in the last Skate America). In the first commitment Grand Prix, Volosozhar / Trankov, Moore-Towers/Moscovitch and Stolbova / Klimov have, however, been an increase also on the components of the program. In particular, Canadians have touched portion 67,14 in the PCS of the free, score in the past exceeded only by Volosozhar / Trankov (twelve times with a maximum of 77.31), Shen / Zhao (four times with a maximum of 72.40 ), Savchenko / Szolkowy (thirteen times with a maximum of 71.93), Pang / Tong (four times with a maximum of 71.28), Kavaguti / Smirnov (three times with a maximum of 69.92).
