Tessa Virtue / Scott Moir and Meryl Davis / Charlie White are the prototype of the pairs of dance born in early adolescence and survived any hiccup as to exceed sixteen years of partnership. They have, in fact, started to skate side by side in 1997, establishing a feeling on the ice and the complicity not in possession of skaters who, unlike them, are also partners in love life.
The two associations Americans have started to cross the international arms in the World Championships in The Hague (The Hague'') in 2004 when he still knew little about each other. Virtue / Moir, at the time, were concluding the first season in Canton under the direction of Igor Shpilband and Marina Zoueva, while Davis / White exercisers still in Detroit Seth Chafetz, author of the recently increased their union to "headlines" for because of a bad story linked to the possession of a large quantity methamphetamine.
After a year and a half after the first challenge, the U.S. couple has transferred to the court of Igor Shpilband and Marina Zoueva, with which, however, c'' was already previously been a collaboration of the choreography competition programs. Since then, between the two teams, it is clearly led to a rivalry sports, defined as "healthy and friendship" by Charlie White in a'' authoritative'' interview to "The New York Times."
Analyzing the history of the'' last decade, leaps'' s eye as the first victory of the Americans on the Canadian and arrived at the tenth challenge in international competitions of the first level. In fact, Davis / White had to wait for February 6, 2009 before precede the training partners. Moreover, in'' occasion, they managed to defeat them for the first time in the free dance, while in the past they were able to do better in only one compulsory dance (FCCh. Colorado Springs 2007 - Compulsory Dance - Tango).
From victory in the Four Continents'' edition held in 2009 in Vancouver, something is slowly begun to change the face of the values in the field at that point in eleven of the sixteen successive challenges have prevailed Davis / White.
Also from that in February 2009, with the exception of the Olympic success of'' the Virtue / Moir on home ice in Vancouver, it is developed a curious trend that has seen the Canadian couple systematically prevail in races in the United States and the U.S. couple win competitions in Canada.
How was it to be normal, the general public has equally divided among avid supporters of one or the other.
Summing up the prize of the two pairs, you notice how they were conquered success on every front possible between the junior and senior class level, but individually, Virtue / Moir have never imposed in the final of the senior Grand Prix, while Davis / White missing the junior world title and the victory in the final of the Junior Grand Prix.
It Accordingly, Davis / White, after Navka / Kostomarov, Anissina / Peizerat and Grishuk / Platov, have become the fourth pair in history able to impose itself on every front possible at the senior level (Olympic, World, European, or Four Continents, Grand Prix Final ).
Withdrawal or non-immediate withdrawal, the "Hall of Fame" awaits the two couples in North America more always winning.
