The general manager of the Canadian ice hockey team Rob Blake announced the 20 players of the rooster in May in Minsk in Belarus take part in the World Championship.

The North American team will be composed of a mix of experienced players (Burrows, Chimera, Methot, Myers and Reimer) and some promising youngsters who will represent the country from the Maple Leaf for the first time in his career Kevin Bieksa, Troy Brouwer, Jason Garrison, Ben Scrivens and Joel Ward.
During the event, the World Championship will coach however convene a further 5 players from the Stanley Cup playoffs concomitant
