Got under way in the European evening yesterday, Big White, the IPC World Championships in Snowboarding, discipline inserted only from the Sochi Games in Paralympic calendar.

The first medals were awarded in the night in the Snowboard Cross races where, in the category Upper Limb (upper limb disabilities) male, the 'Italy it appeared to defend the Gold-Silver coupled conquered in La Molina in 2015 by Manuel and Roberto Pozzerle toggles. On his thirty-eighth birthday the defending champion came out from the competition in the quarterfinals defeated by the British James Barnes-Miller and Roberto dowels and teammate Paul Priolo have left the scene in the second round. In the competition, which was won by American Michael Minor who has passed the Frenchman Maxime Montaggioni is in the final on the podium for the bronze medal, Jacopo Luchini who beat the "little final" right Barnes-Miller.
In the category Lower Limb 1 (severe disabilities in the lower limbs) of the 'Gold medal was won, confirming the world title won in 2015, dall''olandese Chris Vos who defeated the' Austrian Reinhold Schett while in a challenge all stars and stripes Bronze was won by Mark Mann. The 'blue Comunale Giuseppe came out in the quarterfinals defeated by the winner. In the women's conquest of the 'Gold medal outgoing world champion, the US twenty Brenna Huckaby that is imposed in the final on French Cecile Hernandez-Cervellón, forty-Silver in Sochi in the specialty, and the challenge for the Bronze it was won by Nicole US Roundy conquering another third place after the one in La Molina in 2015.
In the category Lower Limb 2 (athletes with less severe disabilities in the lower limbs), in the men of the 'Gold medal was conquered by the defending champion, the Finn Matti Suur-Hamari, Silver for the US, Sochi 2014 champion, Evan Strong and Bronze for 'Silver Paralympic Michael Shea. In the women's final field for the title it was all the Dutch: it imposes the Paralympic champion and world Bibian Mentel-Spee that exceeds compatriot Lisa Bunschoten. Bronze Medal for the 'Australian Joany Badenhorst.
