Six victories in eight races, two today to greet an extraordinary 39th edition of “Pinocchio on Ski” for Italian youth skiing on the snows of Abetone. The second and last day of the international Finals of the historic event dedicated to the talents of the future, saw the blue team take home a fantastic hat-trick in the men's giant, Children 1 (Under14) category.
The victory went to David Castlunger, who had already won yesterday in the slalom, with a time of 57 ”04 ahead of Lorenzo Cuzzupè, 57 cents behind, and Andrea Stipcovich, 92 cents from the winner. The fourth Italian in the race, Matteo Massarenti, came out instead. Victory to Slovenia, on the other hand, in the women's race thanks to Tija Radelj, who closes the race with a time of 57 ”79, ahead of the blue Marta Giaretta by 36 cents, and by 49 the Serbian Emilija Djurovic. Good fourth place for Anais Lustrissy, while the other two Italians in the race, Alessandra Di Sabatino and Giulia Alverà, are placed respectively in ninth and tenth place.
The slalom of the Children 2 (Under 16) category completed this 39th edition. The victory in the men's race went to the Polish Jan Lodzinski, already first halfway through the race, who finished with a time of 1''40 ”12, overcoming Michele Moretti by 1” 54, in a great comeback after seventh place in the first heat. The Slovenian Miha Oserban slips into third place, 1 ”62 behind the leader, ahead of Lorenzo Gerosa, fourth at 3” 29 from Lodzinski, while Jacopo Claudani is 14th.
Out in the second heat Sebastiano Zorzi, when he was in the running for a place on the podium, after the second partial place obtained in the first heat and yesterday's success in the giant. Blue double instead in the women's race, which sees Tatum Bieler in first place, with a time of 1''43 ”29, ahead of Martina Sanin by 26 cents. In third place is the Polish Hanna Zieba, with a delay of 1 ”28. Good sixth place for Camilla Vanni, 2 ”72 from Bieler, and Sofia Mattio is eighth.
