In Livigno Dario Puppo interview Luca Moretti, president of the Livigno Tourist Promotion and Development Company, and Giorgio Rocca, local glory and winner of the slalom World Cup in 2006. The interview was made during the opening of a cross-country skiing ring in the small Tibet, mainly dedicated to the training of the Italian National team of narrow skis.

"There are many events in Livigno but at the beginning of the season there are especially for the fund, which has become very important for us as we can thanks to the snowfarming a ring already in October, a ring that this year is also interesting from the point of technical view at the suggestion of the National athletes who can train with it - says Moretti -. Do not forget that there is also this snowfarming that helps us to spread the snow in the last week of August through the streets of the country for the kermesse of the Palio delle Contrade. So at full speed for what is the bottom, at full throttle for what is quality training and especially to give athletes and the federation the best possible situation to allow you to train so this makes the difference, in the sense that at that point is the athletes and the federations that have to come here because they train well and they feel good, the goal for us is this ".
"Have an Alpine Ski World Cup race, for example a parallel? It would be nice, perhaps on the same lines of the background speech, to guarantee the FIS to do this race, because in any case there is an experience behind that can certainly guarantee a 100% feasibility - says Rocca -. It would allow the FIS to have a race in advance, perhaps between Sölden and Levi, where the athletes are still located in Central Europe immediately after the Austrian competition, then move north and then head towards North America. It would be great also because, for what apparently it seems, the combined is probably disappearing and its place would take the parallel that is a specialty that I've always liked very much ".
"For the Olympics we have commitments and activities that concern disciplines that are part of the Olympic program - adds Moretti -. We know perfectly well that the parallel is making giant strides and is therefore taking the place of a specialty like the combined one, so why not run for it and why not be ready? As Giorgio said, snowfarming is a know-how that we have been doing for the last four years, we are able to have data and everything related to it to officially guarantee, even through a snow-avalanche service and structure that we have inside Livigno , in order to be so sure and certain of being able to compete. As Giorgio said here the commitment is strong and important but above all the strategy of being able to open here the season of the parallel could make the difference ".
"Livigno is making a sponsorship strategy through Luca, even to young people who may come from other localities, including mountain areas, but who do not have the capacity to exploit their probable notoriety, and therefore I think it is a way to open up to the world, and a way of feel good for the athletes - Rocca points out: we had a dinner with Lisa Vittozzi at the Palio delle Contrade where she said 'I am proud to be sponsored by a brand that positions me on the market with a marketing office and a powerful communication office so I, as well as being able to train in Livigno and have the benefits of these opportunities that have also become famous because the brand still believes in me ".
"Hosting biathlon in addition to snowboarding and freestyle if you win the Italian candidacy? No, I would never have thought of it - concludes Moretti -. But things have become bigger step by step and until now we have been able to manage them, so the next step is precisely to be able to guarantee the biathlon in Livigno, as we have been asked to present to the IOC the necessary documentation and then we will see if it will be in Livigno, however if it were to be sure we will not miss the opportunity and certainly good mountain and good sportsmen and with the help not only of the team we sponsor but with the help of the whole resort we will succeed to make a good impression. We are ready for the winter season, we hope in time that it will allow us to prepare the snow with the programmed snowmaking. The first December will open the plants, there will be Sgambeda the 30, the 1 and 2 so we say that at the end of November and early December there is a lot of meat in the fire ".

Dopo aver annunciato lo scorso marzo il ritiro dall'attività, fresco del leggendario bis olimpico, il 40enne fuoriclasse austriaco aveva avviato un progetto legato alla bicicletta, sua enorme passione, con l'obiettivo dei Giochi del 2030 nel ciclocross (che non è stato inserito nel programma per la rassegna sulle Alpi francesi). Sono cambiate alcune cose e ho capito di essere semplicemente uno snowboarder che si diverte tantissimo sui pedali. Punterà soprattutto ai campionati del mondo di Montafon che a marzo chiuderanno la stagione.
