Alpine skiing weekend characterized by fast disciplines. In the women's field, an appointment in Crans Montana in Switzerland, where two free descents will be staged on Friday 22 and Saturday 23 January at 10.00, while on Sunday 24 at 12.00 a supergiant is scheduled. The men's circuit, on the other hand, will be in the Kitzbuehel temple. The legendary Streif slope will be the scene this year of 2 free descents, Friday 22 and Saturday 23 at 11.30, and a supergiant, Sunday 24 January at 10.20. The long weekend in Kitzbuehel could bring back the blue Dominik Paris who has always performed well on these snows.
The Biathlon World Cup lands in Italy, with a stop at Dorothea Wierer's home in Anterselva. On the friendly snows, the South Tyrolean champion will try to carve out her space in a context that gave her great satisfaction last year during the World Cup. Dorothea will take to the track today (Thursday 21 January) at 14.15 in the individual test, while on Saturday at 13.10 she will be engaged in the Mass Start and on Sunday she will conclude the weekend with the relay (12.00). Lukas Hofer and Dominik Windisch, on the other hand, will compete on Friday at 1.15 pm in the individual, Saturday in the relay and Sunday in the mass start.
All the protagonists of Nordic skiing in Lahti. In fact, in the well-known Finnish town, there will be competitions valid for the cross-country skiing (skiathlon and relay), jumping (team and individual competition on the HS130) and Nordic combined world cup.
The snowboard cross circuit lands in Italy, more precisely in Valmalenco. The very strong Italian team led by the Olympic champion Michela Moioli will be the number one favorite for success on their home snow. The bobsleigh and skeleton World Cup continues in Koenigssee in Germany, while the "cousins" of sledding will be the protagonists of the second weekend of the season in Igls.
