There will be a total of 13 blue, with a welcome return to the World Cup, engaged between giant and slalom on the "Schlossberg" of Lienz, between Tuesday 28 and Wednesday 29 December.
Among the wide doors, the formation deployed in the two recent Courchevel tests has been confirmed in full: Marta Bassino, second in Lienz in the last edition of 2019, leads the blue team after the last podium conquered, together with Federica Brignone (who on this track he won in 2017), Sofia Goggia, Elena Curtoni, Roberta Melesi, Karoline Pichler, Vivien Insam and Ilaria Ghisalberti.
The next day in slalom, there will be Brignone again in a sextet conditioned by the absences, given that in Austria Martina Peterlini will not be in the race, out for the rest of the season after the breakdown of the crusader suffered last week in the second slalom of the European Cup in Valle Aurina, Roberta Midali and Serena Viviani. With the Aosta Valley, here are Lara Della Mea, Marta Rossetti, Sophie Mathiou, Anita Gulli and the South Tyrolean Vera Tschurtschenthaler, who will return to wear a bib in the World Cup over 22 months after her only race, held in February 2020 in Kranjska Gora, and having done well at FIS and European Cup level in this first part of the year.
