It is a true winter in Ushuaia, especially in recent days, when there has been no shortage of snowfall.

The training sessions have been of high quality, including for the Italian teams in Argentina: the four-member women’s elite team, with Elena Curtoni in place of Federica Brignone alongside Sofia Goggia, Marta Bassino and Laura Pirovano, has entered the second part of its South American camp, which will end on September 24. However, the Olympic champion from Bergamo is scheduled to transfer to La Parva, where she will remain until the end of the month before returning to Italy, to train on the Chilean snow alongside the speed group, which has itself been in Ushuaia for just over a week.

The group includes Nicol and Nadia Delago, Roberta Melesi, Sara Allemand, Asja Zenere, Sara Thaler and Teresa Runggaldier.

In the “Land of Fire” for the final of the four weeks of preparation (the flight to Italy is scheduled for the 19th), the World Cup team’s giant slalom specialists are also present. This is a particularly important camp for Marta Rossetti, who is returning from injury and taking part in her first long on-snow training block since her summer comeback. The indications have been positive for the skier from Lake Garda, who is training at the Cerro Castor resort with teammates Della Mea, Mondinelli, Valleriani, Pazzaglia and Collomb, as well as two-time junior world champion Anna Trocker, attending a camp at this stage of the season with the senior team for the first time.
