Blue glued to Grenier and Gut-Behrami: Brignone at 16 cents, Bassino at 24, then Shiffrin and the other big ones

First run of the giant on Podkoren in Kranjska Gora: it's a very tight battle, with the Canadian ahead of the Ticino by 4 cents, who in turn precedes Fede and Marta, but Shiffrin, Vlhova and Hector are also in full swing.

The show of Podkoren and the queens of the giant, very close to each other towards a 2nd heat, starting at 12.30, which will be truly unpredictable in terms of victory and podium. In Kranjska Gora in front of all there is a fabulous Valérie Grenier, who is still aiming for her first podium in the World Cup and, after Semmering, confirms a condition of heavenly form, preceding Lara Gut-Behrami by 4 cents. The Canadian and the red cross are glued to the queues by the duo of blue stars formed by Federica Brignone and Marta Bassino. The Valle d'Aosta rider from La Salle is third at only 16 cents (and today the 50th podium in CdM seems even closer), the Cuneo rider with her red bib fourth at + 0"24: both enchanted on the bumps of the central part, leaving many tenths to the two rivals up front in the second part of the Podkoren. In fifth position, 31 cents from Grenier, a solid Mikaela Shiffrin, fully in the running for the sixth consecutive gem and the hook up with Vonn. Even Petra Vlhova, 6th at + 0"36, and Sara Hector 7th at 0"54, can try even if the slightly shortened track, without the first gates of the wall and with the duration under the minute of the race, could complicate plans comeback. France (with friendly layout) finds Frasse Sombet 8^, ahead of a great Bucik on home snow and the "captain" Worley, who does not exploit the number 1 at all, even if the track was really perfectly prepared (so much that Grenier did the best time with 12), and is just eleventh at a clear second from the leader, also preceded by Gasienica-Daniel (10th at 93 cents). Also outside the top ten are Gisin, Holtmann, Moltzan and Mowinckel (15th at 1"24), waiting to see the other 4 blues (Zenere, Platino, Melesi and Steinmair) after thirty. (updating)
