Blue for the "home" challenge at Erta: Bassino and Brignone the tips, there will be no Curtoni

On Tuesday at Kronplatz the sixth giant of the Women's World Cup: the Cuneo-based, already on the podium three times on this track, is aiming for the maximum result like the Aosta Valley (who won the historic first in the South Tyrolean town, in 2017). The winner of the super-g of Cortina keeps herself for Garmisch, the team is completed by Ghisalberti, Insam, Melesi, Midali and Pichler.

An Italy without Sofia Goggia, out of the game due to the injury suffered yesterday in Cortina, but which Elena Curtoni will not have for the "home" giant on the Erta di Kronplatz, scheduled for tomorrow with the 1st heat at 10.30 and the 2nd at 13.30. A logical choice, that of the Valtellinese in triumph in the super-g on the Olympia delle Tofane, with the speed weekend in Garmisch so close and then the Olympics; for the fifth edition of what is now a classic for the discipline, it will clearly be Marta Bassino, three times third on this track in 2017, 2019 and 2021, and Federica Brignone (first in 2017, third in 2018), to lead a team Italy who will then try to bring home some good qualifications and points with the young players, starting with Ilaria Ghisalberti and passing through Vivien Insam, Roberta Melesi, Karoline Pichler and Roberta Midali.
