Kranjska Gora still hosts the Women's World Cup, but this time there will even be two giants on an already very tough track for the men's circuit: the recoveries of the canceled races in Maribor due to lack of snow, represent the fourth and fifth specialty rounds after the '' interruption (and still awaiting the location and date of recovery ...) of the last giant of last December 28 in Semmering.
It starts on Saturday, with the first heat scheduled at 11.00 and the second at 14.00 (live TV on Eurosport and Rai Sport, tracing entrusted to the Austrian coach Kornberger and the decisive heat to Mike Day, coach of Mikaela Shiffrin); Michelle Gisin will inaugurate the race, on an even more challenging slope than last February 15th, since the crossing had the desired effect and there is live ice on the track, even with seven more doors than the start original, for a run close to the classic one of the men with the first really tough initial big wall.
Federica Brignone, red bib as a leader of the specialty, will be the first of nine blue at the starting gate with the number 2; Italy, always on the podium this season in the three races held so far, is looking for its first success on Podkoren after the second places of Gius and the same holder of the crystal ball, as well as the third place of Sofia Goggia in 2018. The Bergamo-based has fished, in the second subgroup, the number 14 (in these snow conditions, however, there should be no major problems), while Marta Bassino, who is perhaps the main favorite considering her celestial form especially between giant and super- g, will start with n ° 6.
