A flash from Cortina to Ravascletto, on the slopes of Monte Zoncolan, for a training away from the chaos of the world championships. So Marta Bassino and Federica Brignone, as had already been foreseen for days and with the program reduced by the various postponements of the first world championship races, moved by helicopter for a training on the Friulian snows, before returning to Cortina in the afternoon.
Meanwhile, Francesca Marsaglia, Elena Curtoni, Nadia Delago and Laura Pirovano faced the two tests in view of the world descent scheduled for Saturday (11.00). The Roman was the best in both, sixth in the shorter one and thirteenth in the complete one. “The track is beautiful, the snow too and at the same time it is very easy - the words released by Marsaglia to the FISI press office - After the super-g, we cleared everything and looked for a different feeling. Today we will analyze everything and try to give our best tomorrow ”.
Elena Curtoni is convinced she can play it, despite a difficult super-g and two tests far from the best. “I feel good and I know where I can do better and where I can cut down on time a little. I am confident and energized ”.
Finally Laura Pirovano: "I'm starting to gain confidence with the track, the second round went better than the first and this gives me hope - the thirty's comment - I feel ready for tomorrow: it will be a splendid race on a very beautiful track" .
