Bassino between track work in Limone and the Piedmontese sports award of 2021: "What pride"

The Cuneo champion trained again today together with Tessa Worley in super-g, while the ceremony that gave her a truly prestigious award was staged in Turin.

A special day for Marta Bassino. Not so much for the daily work on the track, given that on the slopes of the Riserva Bianca di Limone Piemonte, the winner of the last giant's World Cup continued in her super-g training in view of the return to the race next week- end of Sankt Moritz, finding herself alongside another champion like Tessa Worley (who thanked Marta and the blue staff for this opportunity to work together in truly excellent conditions), as well as because today the 25-year-old from Borgo San Dalmazzo received another highly coveted award. Just over a month after being elected FISI athlete of the year for 2021, Marta received the same recognition for the Piedmont Region. The board of USSI (Unione Stampa Sportiva Italiana) Subalpina "Ruggero Radice", with a jury made up of 50 sports journalists, chose the blue giant, awarded alongside a colossus such as the multiple cycling world champion Filippo Ganna. "Bax" received the trophy "virtually", not being able to be present at the ceremony staged at Palazzo Ceriana Mayneri in Turin: "I'm sorry not to be able to be present - explained Marta in a video released during the event - but I am very proud of this award. It makes me proud and I will always try to carry the name of our land up high ”.
