Brignone, the return to J Medical and growing confidence: Fede works in Turin, where she made her extraordinary recovery

As early as the middle of this week, 16 days after her latest surgery, the Italian champion began working up a sweat at the facility created by Juventus: Federico Bristot, the center’s head physiotherapist, is always by her side.

The workload is increasing, as is her confidence, after she spent last weekend at Monza in the paddock of the Italian Grand Prix, where Federica Brignone appeared relaxed enough to state (HERE is NEVEITALIA’s full report) that she was already feeling very well, just a few days after doctors Panzeri and Thiebat operated on her left leg on Tuesday, August 25, at La Madonnina clinic to remove the fixation hardware, almost a year and a half after her accident in the Italian giant slalom at Alpe Lusia.

Then came the return to J Medical in Turin, which was practically home for the La Salle tiger during the long and extremely difficult months from April 3, 2025, until her return to the snow in late November—and clearly afterward as well, since Fede’s recovery cannot yet be considered complete.

Federico Bristot, head physiotherapist at the facility created by Juventus, remains the guardian angel of the two-time Olympic champion, who, just over two weeks after being discharged following surgery to remove the plate and screws from her knee, is already sweating through demanding rehabilitation exercises.

Some are wondering whether she can really make her debut this World Cup season as early as Soelden. Certainly, there is time to return to full activity—the 4–6 weeks indicated by FISI Medical Commission president Dr. Andrea Panzeri—and there is a possibility that Brignone could get back on the snow in October (the giant slalom on the Rettenbach will take place on the 24th of the month).
