The second FIS slalom on the slopes of Diavolezza, after yesterday's one also valid for assigning the title of national champion 2020 in Switzerland, sees a great talent like Camille Rast returning to success.
The 21-year-old tormented by injuries, stopped since March 2019 after breaking the anterior cruciate of her right knee, had already returned to the World Cup in the inaugural giant of Soelden and, after the test on Tuesday (won by the Japanese Asa Ando) in the locality of the Upper Engadine which is hosting a four-day FIS competition, has already been able to take a nice victory that can project her towards the double slalom of CdM in Levi.
The junior world champion was 16 cents ahead of the Czech Martina Dubovska and a couple of tenths the Slovenian Andreja Slokar, already second in race 1. At the foot of the podium other World Cup athletes such as the German Marina Wallner and the French Josephine Forni, competing like Lena Duerr herself, is tenth today. And tomorrow we continue with the first slalom dedicated to boys.
