He had been in the air for a few days, after coming to Copper Mountain at the beginning of last weekend to regain contact with the snow, almost a month after the triumphant giant of Soelden.
Alice Robinson will try to be in the race on Saturday, in the second round of the wide doors scheduled at Killington, despite what was announced by the same 17-year-old New Zealand last November 6th, when on social media she announced her renouncement to the race in Vermont, because of a knee bruise, caused by a stroke immediately before the onset in the Oetztal.
What happened? Alice explains it herself ... "A few days ago I did an MRI that showed many more improvements than we expected, so I was allowed to ski. I trained two days in Colorado (in Copper Mountain) and I didn't have any swelling or pain.
Now the plan has changed and I will go to Killington, I will continue to train for a couple of days and then I will take the final decision on Friday, on the eve of the race â€.
One of the first social comments? Just the one of the most awaited rival, beaten for 6 cents in Soelden ... Mikaela Shiffrin.
