Snow control ok, Val di Fassa is ready for the first historic World Cup

From 26 to 28 February, "La VolatA" in Passo San Pellegrino will host three crucial speed races in the women's crystal ball race.

It will be the first post-World Cup event in Cortina and a historic first for the whole Val di Fassa, after having already hosted major events from the World Jr 2019 to the European Cup. Yesterday the FIS snow control arrived and gave the definitive go-ahead to the women's World Cup races scheduled on the "La VolatA" slope in Passo San Pellegrino, among other things already tested by many national teams before the review world champion. It will start with the first test on Wednesday 24, then the second on Thursday 25 and here are the two descents scheduled for Friday 26 and Saturday 27, followed on Sunday 28 by the super-g which will conclude a crucial triptych in the race to the absolute crystal ball, with Bassino and Brignone behind the trio Vlhova, Gut-Behrami and Gisin, while Sofia Goggia cannot clearly be of the match, but could conquer the CdM of descent based on the results of the various Johnson, Suter, Ledecka and the same Gut-Behrami who follow her in the specialty ranking.
