Women's European Cup stopped by the wind, at least in the first of the four days of competition scheduled in the long appointment in the French mountains of Orcieres-Merlette.

Instead, we proceed according to the program for the men's stage of the continental circuit in Tarvisio, where on Thursday and Friday there will be two descents, weather permitting. Today's second and last test saw Matteo Franzoso, yesterday's best time, again being the best blue with the eighth time trial, one second clear of the Swiss Ralph Weber, who preceded Nico Gauer and Christoph Krenn. At home Italy, Nicolò Molteni 18th and Federico Simoni 30th, while at the gate, Marco Schwarz, Armand Marchant, Trevor Philp and also the winner of the Adelboden slalom, Johannes Strolz, were still seen at the gate. Reason? Obtain the necessary points to be able to take part in the combined Beijing Olympics, as there are no specialty tests in the World Cup this year. And we are talking about athletes who could have medal chances in China, in particular the Carinthian champion already world champion of the discipline in Cortina 2021.
